Shards of Light
✧ Shards of Light
🌑 About the game
Shards of Light is a narrative and atmospheric game that immerses the player in a mysterious world, guided only by a fragile glow.
The concept revolves around exploration and discovery: venturing into darkness while following a shard of light that becomes both a beacon and a symbol of hope.
The visual and sound design aim to strengthen the feeling of solitude and tension, with a minimalist yet evocative art direction.
🎮 Gameplay
Your only ally is the light you carry.
- The light slowly fades over time or when you encounter enemies.
- Enemies drain your light quickly, and without it… you die.
- The further you go into the labyrinth, the more valuable crystals you can find.
But there’s a choice to make:
- Press forward into darkness for greater rewards, at the risk of losing everything.
- Return to your cauldron at any time to bank your collected crystals in safety.
With each run, you balance risk and reward: light means safety but fewer rewards, darkness means danger but richer treasures.
ℹ️ Press 'B' at any moment to call forth a guiding wisp, leading you safely back to your cauldron.

Love the atmosphere! I’m afraid to go round each corner and stumble upon another monster hahaha Good job in such a short time!
Awww I got bugged on first go. I was enjoying it. Art style really nice. Sound and music was also really good. Though it was pretty loud. But for the bug, if you open the door while walking toward it or being close it can knock you out of the level which happened twice to me. The monster sound in the distance was awesome, but I never got to experience it because both times I played I got knocked out. Maybe it's just my bad luck. Went back 1 more time to see him and got lost only to teleport back to the beggining with no shards.
